Police in Akure Invite Chef Dammy Following Alleged Petition

Chef Damilola Adeparusi, known for her attempt to break the Guinness World Record, found herself at the center of a police investigation after allegedly being summoned by the Police AIG Zone 17 in Akure, Ondo State.

The summons followed a reported petition lodged against her by her pastor, Adegoke Jeremiah.

Confirming the development, DSP Hakeem, the spokesperson of AIG Zone 17, acknowledged the police’s receipt of a petition against Chef Dammy, leading to her invitation for questioning.

The chef reportedly honored the police invitation on Thursday afternoon, November 23, and was subsequently granted administrative bail upon providing a surety.

“She is not in our custody. She was not detained,” clarified DSP Hakeem in response to queries regarding Dammy’s status.

Chef Dammy gained attention after her endeavor to cook continuously for 120 hours—an attempt to break the Guinness World Record—following Hilda Baci’s achievement in setting the Longest Cooking Hours record by an individual.

However, the spotlight on Dammy dimmed when she reportedly faced discord with her pastor, leading to allegations of threats to her life directed at the clergyman.

In response, the pastor initiated legal action against Chef Dammy, demanding a retraction of the alleged life threat accusations.
