Players, officials, and medical staff rushed to his aid, and an ambulance quickly entered the pitch. Despite swift intervention, Dwamena was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital, as confirmed by the Albania Football Association (FSHF) in a statement.

“The FSHF expresses its deep shock over the tragedy that happened in Egnatia-Partizani, where football player Raphael Dwamena lost his life,” the FSHF statement reads. “The FSHF expresses its deepest condolences to the Dwamena family and the Egnatia club for this great loss.”
