People Will Attack You If Your Husband, Tinubu, Will Ensure Righteousness Like Yar’Adua, Ex-First Lady, Turai Yar’Adua Tells Remi
Hajiya Turai Yar’Adua, former First Lady and widow of the late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, has warned Oluremi Tinubu, wife of the ‘President-elect’ Bola Tinubu, that she will be attacked if her husband’s administration is honest and without corruption.
The former First Lady stated that Tinubu’s wife will be attacked for personal gain in her husband’s government.

Turai Yar’Adua, speaking on BBC Hausa on the 13th anniversary of her husband’s death, as monitored by Ejes Gist News Nigeria, advised Tinubu’s wife to be patient and to continue advising her husband.
Alhamdulillah, my advice to the incoming First Lady is that she should be patient and remain patient. If her husband will be like Umaru when it came to ensuring justice in his government, then she would be the target, as I was the victim of this.
“My husband was not an alcoholic, a womaniser, or a crook, so people began attacking his wife to provoke him because he loved her.

“Therefore, she should be prepared for this and patient, and she should also give him advice, as she is the only person who will give him truthful advice; those around him will only tell him what they want to hear.
“However, a wife will always inform her husband that he should investigate what she has heard.”
