Vehicle Transporting Inmates Injures Commuters in Osobogo

 

The state capital of Osun, Osogbo, was roiled with palpable tension on Thursday when a truck transporting prisoners to the State High Court collided with a commercial vehicle, injuring two people.

The incident immediately sparked violent protests, with angry youths and commercial motorcyclists blocking the popular Olaiya Junction.

According to witnesses, the driver of the correctional truck disobeyed a traffic light signalling him to stop and, as a result, struck a minibus, injuring the driver and one of the passengers.

 

As of the time of the filing of this report, teargas had been used to disperse the protesters.

In other news, the government of Lagos State has arraigned Chrisland school and 4 of it’s staff before the high court in the state.

 

This comes on the heel of the death of a 12-year-old Student, Whitney Adediran during a school inter house sport.

According to the parents of the late 12-year-old Student, the autopsy revealed that the child was electrocuted.
