President Bola Tinubu has given his approval for the appointment of a new four-man management team for the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON), pending their confirmation by the Nigerian Senate.

According to a release issued on Thursday by presidential spokesperson Ajuri Ngelale, the appointees include Gbenga Alade as Managing Director/CEO, Aminu Ismail as Executive Director, Adeshola Lamidi as Executive Director, and Lucky Adaghe as Executive Director.

The President anticipates unwavering dedication, professionalism, and dutifulness from the new appointees to ensure that AMCON’s operations are more efficient, transparent, and in line with his commitment to sanitizing the nation’s financial system, maximizing value, and enhancing investor confidence in the Nigerian economy.

President Tinubu, on the same Thursday, also approved the appointment of qualified Nigerians to serve in three agencies under the Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy.

In another release by presidential spokesperson Ajuri Ngelale, the new appointees include Abraham Oshadami as Executive Commissioner, Technical Services; Rimini Makama as Executive Commissioner, Stakeholder Management; and Opeyemi Dele-Ajayi as President/CEO, Digital Bridge Institute for the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).

The Nigerian Communications Satellite (NIGCOMSAT) Limited has Abiodun Attah as Executive Director, Technical Services; Aisha Abdullahi as Executive Director, Finance & Administration; and Jaiyeola Awokoya as Executive Director, Marketing & Business Development. New appointees for Galaxy Backbone (BB) Limited include Ibrahim Adepoju Adeyanju as Managing Director/CEO; Mohammed Sani Ibrahim as Executive Director, Finance & Corporate Services; Olusegun Olulade as Executive Director, Customer Centricity & Marketing; and Olumbe Akinkugbe as Executive Director, Digital Exploration & Technical Services.

With the reconstitution of the management teams in the aforementioned agencies, President Tinubu expresses hope that these seasoned professionals will deliver excellent service to elevate the impact of the digital economy sector on the socio-economic development of the nation.
