One of the notable changes involves the Ministry of Niger Delta Development, which has been reassigned to Abubakar Momoh. Initially designated for the federal Ministry of Youth, Momoh’s new responsibility underscores the President’s commitment to enhancing development in the Niger Delta region.

A statement released by Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, confirmed that the changes also encompassed a swapping of ministries for several ministers-designate. The reassignments reflect a strategic effort to align expertise with the demands of specific portfolios.

A prominent figure affected by this shuffle is former Osun state governor, Adegboyega Oyetola. He has been re-assigned to head the newly established Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy. This move signals the administration’s intent to harness the nation’s aquatic resources for economic growth and sustainability.

In a complementary change, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, who was initially slated for the Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy, will now take on the role of minister-designate for the Ministry of Interior.
