This development was announced in a statement issued on a Friday evening by Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity. Among the key changes is the reappointment of Dr. Samuel Ogbuku as the Managing Director of the Commission, with his continued role being in an acting capacity until confirmed by the Senate.

Specifically, the statement read, “President Bola Tinubu has approved the immediate replacement of the NDDC’s Ondo State Representative nominee, Mr. Victor Akinjo, with a new Ondo State Representative nominee, Hon. Otito Atikase.

The President has equally approved the immediate replacement of the NDDC’s Cross River State Representative nominee, Mr. Asi Oku Okang, with a new Cross River State Representative, Rt. Hon. Orok Otuk Duke.”

The reappointment of Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, who served as the immediate past Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the NDDC, signals a commitment to continuity and steady leadership within the Commission.
