Tijani Babangida and Wife Receive Medical Attention After Ghastly Motor Accident
Former Nigerian international footballer, Tijani Babangida, and his wife are currently receiving medical attention after being involved in a devastating car accident on Thursday. The crash, which occurred along the Kaduna-Zaria Road, claimed the life of his younger brother, Ibrahim Babangida.
Babangida, a member of the historic 1996 Olympic gold medal-winning team and current President of the Professional Footballers Association of Nigeria (PFAN), was traveling with his family when the accident occurred.
The news was announced by his former teammate and General Secretary of PFAN, Emmanuel Babayaro, who called for prayers and support for the family during this difficult time. “Comrades! Let us be in prayers for our president, Tijani Babangida, who just had a ghastly motor accident along the Kaduna-Zaria Road,” Babayaro said in a statement.
