Eyewitnesses recounted the harrowing experience, stating that the bandits surrounded the area on Saturday evening while farmers were diligently working on their farmlands. The assailants, armed with powerful weaponry, unleashed chaos by shooting indiscriminately. The onslaught continued into the early hours of Sunday, leaving a trail of devastation.
The Katsina Police Command’s spokesman confirmed the tragic incident on Monday, assuring the public that the police are actively addressing the situation. According to the spokesperson, five individuals have been successfully rescued unharmed out of the eight who were initially kidnapped.
