Presidential Election Petition Court to Deliver Judgment on Peter Obi and Labour Party’s Petition.Â
The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) is set to render its judgment on the petition filed by Peter Obi and the Labour Party (LP), with the exact date to be announced later.
The Presiding Justice of the tribunal, Justice Haruna Tsammani, made this announcement shortly after both the petitioners’ and respondents’ lawyers concluded their final written addresses and submissions.

Livy Uzoukwu (SAN), the lawyer representing the petitioners (Peter Obi and Labour Party), vehemently argued that his clients had provided sufficient evidence to support their case. He earnestly requested the court to grant the reliefs sought in the petition.
On the other hand, the lawyers representing the respondents – Abubakar Mahmoud (SAN) for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Wole Olanipekun (SAN) for President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima, and Lateef Fagbemi (SAN) for the All Progressives Congress (APC) – countered the petitioners’ claims.

They urged the court to dismiss the petition, asserting that it lacked merit due to the absence of relevant evidence to substantiate the allegations.
