The State Commissioner of Police, CP Hussaini Gumel, disclosed that the incident was reported on January 28 at approximately 10:30 a.m. Abdullahi Abdulsalam of Rijiyar Zaki reported finding Nuradeen Shehu motionless, having hanged himself with a rope in one of the college classrooms.
A swift response from the police ensued, with a team from Gwale Division, led by the DPO, unlocking the classroom door, cutting the rope, and rushing the lifeless body to Murtala Mohammed General Hospital. A medical doctor at the hospital confirmed Nuradeen Shehu’s demise.
