Adeleke Appoints Nephew, Aregbesola’s Ally As Board Chairman

On Thursday, the Governor of Osun State, , appointed Tunji Adeleke, the son of the late state governor, Isiaka Adeleke, and Rasaq Salinsile, the former of the defunct Rauf Aregbesola’s faction of the All Progressives Congress, as chairmen of boards.

Adeleke Jr. has been assigned as the chairman of the Local Government Service Commission, while Salinsile will assume the role of chairman of the Teaching Service Commission.

Governor Adeleke’s spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, announced several other appointments as well.

Prof. Wale Oladipo, the former National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (), will be the chairman of the Osun State University Governing Council.

Mr. Diran Odeyemi, the ex-PDP Deputy National Publicity Secretary, has been appointed to lead the Osun State College of Technology, Esa-Oke.

Among other state statutory board chairmen are Mr. Gbenga Onigbogi for the University of Ilesa and Mr. Diran Ayanbeku for Osun State Polytechnic, Iree.

Additionally, Mr. Peter Babalola will head the Osun State College of Education, Ila, and Senator Kola Ogunwale will be in charge of the Osun State College of Health Technology, Ilesa.

Other appointments include Dr. Kingsley Akinroye for the State Hospital Management Board, Mr. Ibukun Fadipe for the State Universal Basic Education Board, and Mr. Muyiwa Oloso for Osun State Broadcasting Corporation.

Dr. Muyiwa Oladimeji will chair the Osun Health Insurance Agency, and Mr. Niyi Owolade will lead the Osun State University Teaching Hospital.

Rasheed’s statement concluded by stating that Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has approved the of chairmen and vice chairmen of non-statutory boards in the state, and these appointments are effective immediately.

These appointments came just a day after the governor swore in 25 commissioners and three permanent secretaries.
