APC UK Chapter Warns Against Planned Protest in London, Defends Tinubu’s Credentials

The All Progressives Congress (APC) UK Chapter has cautioned against a proposed protest targeting President Bola Tinubu in London. The party maintains that such a move is misguided and baseless.

Tunde Doherty, Chairman of the UK chapter of the APC and also the APC Committee of Diaspora Chairmen, addressed the issue in a statement released on Friday.

He stated that a group led by Aisha Yesufu, an activist and supporter of the Labour Party, was planning to stage a protest in London, casting doubt on the educational qualifications of President Bola Tinubu.

Doherty emphasized the party’s commitment to addressing the matter and stressed the importance of relying on verified facts rather than premature and unsupported allegations.

He highlighted President Tinubu’s extensive and distinguished record of service to Nigeria, underlining his unwavering dedication to the nation’s progress.

“President Bola Tinubu, a seasoned and distinguished statesman, has a long and illustrious track record of serving our great nation.

Throughout his career, he has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the betterment of Nigeria and its people,” said Doherty.

He went on to address the allegations of forged certificates, pointing out that they not only lack concrete evidence but also undermine the principles of democracy and fair political discourse.

The statement from the APC UK Chapter comes as a response to the planned protest and serves to defend the reputation and credentials of President Bola Tinubu.
