Nullifies ’s Election, Orders Fresh Polls

The Appeal Court in Abuja has delivered a significant ruling by invalidating the election of Senate Minority Leader, Senator Simon Mwadkon. The court’s decision revolved around issues related to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) nomination process.

The judge presiding over the case expressed the opinion that the PDP had not fully complied with court orders, citing the non-participation of 12 Local Government Areas (LGAs) in the congress. This non-compliance led to a critical decision to nullify Sen. Mwadkon’s election.
