Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in , , paid a condolence visit to the , Oba Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III, expressing heartfelt condolences over the passing of former Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN). Ilori lauded the late Akeredolu as a bold and courageous leader who utilized legal means to protect and secure his people.

“Aketi was a fearless politician who spoke truth to power, especially during difficult and critical times that most politicians find inconvenient,” remarked Ilori during the visit.

Ilori took the opportunity to commend , describing him as a progressive and unique monarch who leveraged the traditional institution to support progressive ideals, particularly in the realm of security. Bola Ilori Seeks Olowo’s Support For State Governor Aiyedatiwa,

“Oba Ogunoye’s input and influence in the creation of the Southwest Nigeria Security Network will forever remain indelible in the hearts of the people,” stated Ilori.

During the visit, Ilori sought the Oba’s support for the new Governor, Hon Lucky Ayedatiwa, and emphasized the need for backing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC in general.
