Bolanle Raheem: Court Remands Killer Cop, ASP Vandi In Ikoyi Prison
ASP Drambi Vandi, a rogue police officer, has been placed on remand by a Lagos State Magistrate Court in Yaba.
The killer of Omobolanle Raheem, a female solicitor and real estate consultant, on Christmas Day in the state’s Ajah region, was ordered by the court, and ASP Drambi Vandi, a police officer, was placed on remand.

The Lagos State government filed a murder charge against the defendant, and Chief Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun remanded him.
Raheem’s murderer, ASP Drambi Vandi, was charged with one count by the Lagos State Attorney-General, Moyosore Onigbanjo, SAN.
In accordance with Section 264 of the Lagos, 2015 Administration of Criminal Justice Law, the Attorney General, who appeared before the Court, requested the defendant be remanded.
He explained to the Chief Magistrate that the purpose of the remand is to give the police time to complete their enquiry into the incident.
The Magistrate approved the request to remand the defendant to the Ikoyi Correctional Facility and commanded that a duplicate case file be made and sent to Dr. Jide Martins, the director of public prosecution, for legal counsel.

She then called off the meeting until January 30th, 2023, to await legal counsel.

The officer fired at the car while Bolanle’s husband was looking for a place to park, striking the deceased woman in the chest and killing her instantly, according to reports.
