On Tuesday morning, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board announced that it will no longer accept the printout currently being displayed by Anambra candidate Mmesoma Ejikeme as her valid result in 2021.

The board further stated that the UTME result exhibited by “Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma is patently fake.”

JAMB asserted that only Mmesoma paraded the “obsolete” notification slip out of all the applicants who sat the 2023 UTME, according to a statement made accessible to our correspondent on Tuesday morning by the Board’s spokesman, Fabian Benjamin.

“As a result, the Board wishes to reassure Nigerians that its system was not tampered with or compromised because the candidate simply falsified a copy of a result slip of a candidate named “Asimiyu Mariam Omobolanle,” who sat the UTME in 2021 and scored 138.”

“It is also worth noting that the candidate, in her statement, inadvertently revealed the rightful owner of the result she is displaying by pointing out that the QR code on the result slip revealed the actual owner of the said result before she peddled a lie in an attempt to obfuscate the truth.”

“To see the Board’s unassailable position on this obvious falsehood, the general public is urged to scan the QR code on the result slip to see its actual owner before it was mutilated.” It should be remembered that the QR code encompasses each candidate’s UTME result; thus, what appears on the result sheet is nothing more than the interpretation of the information on this QR code.

“Furthermore, the public should be aware that the Board discontinued issuing Notification of Result slips following the 2021 UTME due to candidates falsifying them.” As a result, the Board has started providing actual UTME RESULT Slips (rather than notification of results) since 2022, replete with each candidate’s portrait.

“Similarly, the public is invited to reflect on the fact that, of all the candidates who took the 2023 UTME, only Ms. Ejikeme Mmesoma parades the out-of-date ‘Notification of Result.”

“In the meantime, the Board’s management has withdrawn her 2023 UTME result and barred her from sitting the Board’s examination for the next three years, after considering the serious infraction committed by Ms. Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma and in accordance with its established procedures.”
