The Delta State Government, under the auspices of the Office of the Auditor General, has introduced a compulsory physical verification exercise for all civil servants employed by the Delta State Government (DTSG).

In a memo obtained by Ejes Gist News and dated July 3, 2023, the government formally communicated the implementation of the physical verification exercise, urging all DTSG civil servants to participate. The exercise is scheduled to take place from July 6 to July 31, 2023.
The primary objective of this exercise is to ensure the accuracy and integrity of personnel records within the Delta State Government’s workforce. By conducting a comprehensive physical verification, the government aims to verify and validate the employment details, qualifications, and other relevant information of each civil servant.
To facilitate the process, civil servants are required to visit any of the designated field offices of the Office of the Auditor General. It is within these offices that the physical verification exercise will be carried out.
