EDO STATE GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCES VACANCIES IN CLEAN & GREEN PROGRAM
The Edo State Government, under the Ministry of Physical Planning, Housing, Urban, and Regional Development, is excited to invite applications for its Clean & Green Program. The program aims to train qualified individuals for a period of one year, with the possibility of permanent employment with the Edo State Government upon successful completion.
General Requirements for Edo State Clean and Green Recruitment 2023.
1. Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s Degree (with a minimum of a Second Class Lower) or HND (with a minimum of a Lower Credit).
2. Possession of NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate is mandatory.
3. Candidates must demonstrate computer literacy, excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in teams.
4. Applicants should be between the ages of 2230.
5. Familiarity with CAD & GIS Tools will be an advantage.
Available Positions at Edo State Clean and Green Recruitment and their requirements:
1. Architect Trainees
Qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree (with a minimum of a Second Class Lower) or HND (with a minimum of a Lower Credit) in Architecture. A Master’s Degree and ARCON registration are advantageous.
Job Description: Engage in building design, coordinate with stakeholders, prepare specifications for public buildings, and ensure adherence to the Masterplan.
2. Land Surveyor Trainees.
Qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree (with a minimum of a Second Class Lower) or HND (with a minimum of a Lower Credit) in Surveying/Geoinformatics. NIS registration is preferred.
Job Description: Conduct field surveys, establish property boundaries, create topographic maps, and advise on land use and development projects.
3. Estate Surveyor Trainees.
Qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree (with a minimum of a Second Class Lower) or HND (with a minimum of a Lower Credit) in Estate Surveying and Valuation. NIESV registration is desirable.
Job Description: Provide expertise in valuation, property rights, land development, and project management.
4. Edo State Clean and Green Recruitment for Quantity Surveyor Trainees.
Qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree (with a minimum of a Second Class Lower) or HND (with a minimum of a Lower Credit) in Quantity Surveying. NIQS registration is an advantage.
Job Description: Prepare bills of quantities, manage contracts, and estimate construction costs.
5. Engineering Trainees (Civil, Structural, Mechanical, and Electrical)
Qualifications at Edo State Clean and Green Recruitment: A Bachelor’s Degree (with a minimum of a Second Class Lower) or HND (with a minimum of a Lower Credit) in the relevant engineering field. Proficiency in engineering design software and registration with a professional body are beneficial.
Job Description: Assist in urban planning, infrastructure projects, and technical analysis within their respective disciplines.
6. Builder Trainees.
Qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree (with a minimum of a Second Class Lower) or HND (with a minimum of a Lower Credit) in Building Technology. CORBON registration is an added advantage.
Job Edo State Clean and Green Recruitment Description: Oversee construction projects, manage building production, and conduct building surveys.
7. Town Planner Trainees.
Qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree (with a minimum of a Second Class Lower) or HND (with a minimum of a Lower Credit) in Urban and Regional Planning. TOPREC registration is desirable.
Job Description at Edo State Clean and Green Recruitment: Engage in urban planning projects, evaluate environmental impact reports, and examine building plans.
8. Landscaping Trainees.
Qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree (with a minimum of a Second Class Lower) or HND (with a minimum of a Lower Credit) in a related field.
Job Description: Plan, design, and maintain landscapes for public areas, ensuring compliance with design standards.
9. Geographer Trainees.
Qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree (with a minimum of a Second Class Lower) or HND (with a minimum of a Lower Credit) in Geography or related fields. Experience with GPS data and ArcGIS is an advantage.
Job Description: Collect and analyze geographical data, support field surveys, and create GISbased presentations.
10. GIS Specialist Trainees.
Qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree (with a minimum of a Second Class Lower) or HND (with a minimum of a Lower Credit) in any course. Experience with GPS data and ArcGIS is preferred.
