The Federal Government of Nigeria, through the Hon. , , has declared public holidays for the upcoming Christmas and New Year celebrations.

The holidays will span Monday and Tuesday, December 25 and 26, 2023, and Monday, January 1, 2024.

Dr Tunji-Ojo extended warm felicitations to Christians and all Nigerians, both at home and in the Diaspora, on this joyous occasion. Recognizing the integral role of peace and security in fostering economic development and prosperity, the minister assured that the Federal Government, led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is committed to implementing effective measures to safeguard lives and property.

Dr Tunji-Ojo underscored the importance of citizen vigilance, urging Nigerians to be security-conscious and report any suspicious persons or activities to the nearest security agencies.
