In a tragic incident on Monday, January 29, 2024, four Nigerian nationals were apprehended by the Police in connection with the death of a 25-year-old budding male rapper, Charles Waga Otieno. The victim, employed at a nearby car wash, met his demise at Corner Heights Apartments, Naivasha Road, Nairobi, allegedly after jumping from the fifth floor while delivering a carpet to the Nigerians residing on the seventh floor.
Despite being paid Sh400 for the task, Otieno’s sudden and inexplicable actions raised questions. Witnesses reported hearing screams and observing him undressing before the fatal leap, leaving him with severe head injuries. Law enforcement discovered his belongings on the trail from the apartment, sparking further intrigue.
Curiously, the victim was found without his trousers, prompting speculation. Even as officers questioned the Nigerians’ account of events, emergency services rushed Otieno to Coptic Hospital, where he was declared dead upon arrival.
