The Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff F.O Oborevwori, has announced the reconstitution of the Governing Councils of various state institutions, along with fresh appointments to the boards of certain agencies.

For the Delta State University Abraka, Gen. Alexander Odeareduo Ogomudia (Rtd) has been appointed as Chairman of the Governing Council, with other notable members including Barr. Doris Ejinyere, Rt Hon. Martins Okonta, Hon Ben Igbakpa, and Sir Andrew Odum SAN. Additionally, individuals with existing tenures include Chief Peter Yerinde Biakpara, Prof. Usiwoma Evowoma-Enuku, and Chief Surv. Terry Noah.

At the Delta State Polytechnic Otefe-Oghara, Chief Oghene-aga Andrew Orugbo will serve as Chairman, accompanied by Mr Friday Omoko, Mr Ighoyota Lucky, Chief A.C Okocha, and Barr. Mrs Felicia Adowei-Ajagu.
Similarly, Chief J.T Government will chair the Governing Council of the Delta State Polytechnic Burutu, with Chief Ighovojah David, Dr. Solomon Emeke, Mrs Celestina Ewesuode, and Prof Andrew Ekakite as members.

For the College of Physical Education Mosogar, Hon. Sunny A. Emeyese has been appointed as Chairman, alongside Victor Omagbemi Agbateyiniro, Chief Mrs Mary Chidi, and Ugbune Ogheneovo as members.

In addition to the council appointments, the Governor has approved the appointment of individuals to the boards of the Delta State Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency, and the Delta State Investment Development Agency (DIDA). Chief Henry Sakpra will serve as Chairman of the former, while Chief Lucky Oghene Umoru will lead the latter as Chairman.
Other members of the agencies’ boards include Pastor Godwin Adolor, Chief Barr. Sunny Omovie, Mrs Helen Obiageli Okonkwo Esq, Matthew Uduaghan, and Hon Anthony Elekeokwuri.
The statement, signed by the Secretary to State Government (SSG), Dr Kingsley Emu, notes that the inauguration of these appointees will be announced in due course.
