Gunmen Abduct Two Catholic Priests, Fr. Chochos Kunav and Reverend Father Raphael Ogigba In Delta State

Reverend Father Chochos Kunav and Reverend Father Raphael Ogigba have been kidnapped in Agbaro Otor Area, close to Warri, Delta State.

Ejes Gist News Nigeria has learned that the two clerics were abducted by unidentified gunmen along the Agbaro Otor Road on their way to Ughelli on Saturday night.

A statement issued by Rev Father Okereke Kizito and made available to journalists in Warri on Monday explained that Father Chochos, who works in Ibadan, was visiting his Catholic Diocese of Warri colleague, Rev Father Ogigba.

“On their way back from visiting another priest near Agbaro-Otor, they were abducted,” the statement reads.

The statement requested prayers for the safe release of the priests who were abducted.

“We request fervent prayers for a speedy and secure release. May Jesus, the high priest and good Shepherd, watch over his priests, and may our mother, the thrice-admirable Queen and Schoenstatt victor, intercede on their behalf,” it continued.

The Delta State Command Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, could not be reached for comment on the incident at the time this report was filed.
