Hudu Yunusa-Ari, the suspended Resident Electoral Commissioner, has been apprehended by the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) for his alleged misconduct during the gubernatorial election in Adamawa state.

 

According to a statement released on Tuesday by Muyiwa Adejobi, the spokesperson for the police force, Yunusa-Ari is presently undergoing interrogation while in police custody.

Barrister Ari was arrested in Abuja on May 2nd, 2023 by the Police Election Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation Team, as stated.

 

He is presently in police custody and is undergoing interrogation to determine the reasons and intentions behind his purported inappropriate conduct during the supplementary elections in Adamawa state.
