Some concerned members of the party have expressed worry over the development, saying that the action of the National Chairman, is targeted at allowing moles, strange elements and agents of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, to infiltrate the party ahead of the November 11 governorship election.

Some stakeholders in the party had last week alleged that the State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma allegedly sponsored some persons in the Labour party to purchase the governorship forms.

Though there has been no independent verification of these allegations by this newspaper, some stakeholders argue the latest action of the Chairman is lending credence to such allegations.

“We have it on good authority that about eight governorship aspirants who bought the forms in the Labour party are actually working for the APC and from the State Governor” said one of the concerned stakeholders in the party who spoke on condition of anonymity.

He continued.”We know them and we have exposed them. Two other persons, whom we suspect are also moles recently picked the forms and in the long run, they will be exposed too”
