INEC Uploads 83% of Election Results 5 Days After Election

Independent National Electoral Commission has uploaded 147,578 results from 176,846 polling locations.

Five days after the presidential election, Ejes Gist News Nigeria reports that the Independent National Electoral Commission have uploaded 83% of the result.

At the time this report was filed, the electronic transmission of results was still in progress.

Nigerians anticipated that the election results would be uploaded on election day, as promised by Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, chairman of INEC.

However, INEC was criticized for its failure to upload results to its viewing portal, which prompted some party agents to leave the National Collation Centre on Monday.

On Thursday, it was discovered that the results of all polling places had not yet been uploaded to the INEC website.
