Woman Hospitalized for Three Months After Landlady’s Assault Seeks Assistance

Imabong William, a middle-aged woman residing in Enugwu-Ukwu, has been hospitalized since August 17 following a disturbing incident involving her landlady, Amaka Okonkwo. The altercation arose from a disagreement over rent increment, leading to Okonkwo allegedly pouring scalding water mixed with pepper on William.

The victim, originally from Akwa Ibom, spoke to journalists on Friday, highlighting the severity of her situation. William expressed her ongoing struggle with burn pain, revealing that the hospital had ceased providing medications for over a month due to her accumulating medical bills, which now amount to N650,000.
