Major breakthrough for Obidients as Peter Obi sets new record
The top 10 searches on Google for any particular period are a list of the most frequently searched individuals, locations, events, or other items.
Google has published an update for the year 2022 that lists the top 10 searches made in Nigeria as the year 2022 gradually draws to a close. From the list, the African Cup of Nations, AFCON was the most searched in the year 2022.

It was also followed by the ASUU strike which lasted for eight months, iPhone 14, and other top searches which includes Oxlade, NATO, Buga, Peter Obi, Ukraine, World Cup, and Asake which sums up to 10.
Among the most searched people, we have Nigerian singer Oxlade who trended on social media after his sex tape got leaked on the internet. Oxlade was followed by Peter Obi, Asake, Black Sheriff, Casemiro, Vladimir Putin, Lisandro Martinez, Antony, Gabriel Jesus, and Raphinha which sums up to 10.
From the list, it could be seen that Peter Obi is the only presidential aspirant that appeared among the top 10 most searched people in Nigeria for the year 2022 which is of course a record among the contesting candidates. It would also be recalled that Peter Obi joined the Labour Party some months ago after declaring his presidential ambition.
