President Bola Tinubu has remarked that his initiatives have shown great outcomes since taking office.
According to Tinubu, his administration has received global support and commendation for its abolition of fuel subsidies and foreign exchange regime policies.
The President remarked this over the weekend at a gala/award night hosted by the Office of the Head of the government Service of the Federation (HoCSF) to recognise and honour exceptional government servants in honour of this year’s Civil Service Week.

The President, who was represented by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, expressed gratitude to the civil officials for their contributions to the country’s economic development.
President Tinubu, who agreed that the policies had hurt the public in some way, said his administration was working on steps to mitigate the effects.
“We will immediately cushion the pains being felt by our people as a result of these measures through a series of well-targeted interventions aimed at providing adequate relief and succour to a large number of our long-suffering citizens,” he said.

The President promised to provide more support to the civil service sector, which he described as the guardian of public confidence, in order to consolidate the benefits of the sector’s ongoing reforms.
