Alleged Terrorism: Court Stops DSS, IGP Others From Arresting Emefiele
The Department of State Security Services (DSS) and Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba, have been ordered to refrain from arresting and detaining the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, on suspicion of terrorism by a Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court.
In a ruling issued on December 19, Justices A.H. Hassan further prohibited the Federal Attorney General (AGF), Abubakar Malami (SAN), the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) from taking any action against Emefiele.
