Nigerian Pastor Beaten Mercilessly Over Missing Penis.
A shocking incident unfolded in the New Layout area of Kanshio, a suburb of Makurdi, when a young man’s claim of a stolen genital organ led to a vicious attack on a Pastor and an alleged church usher.
The incident, which occurred over the weekend, resulted in both victims being brutalized by an enraged mob.

According to an eyewitness, the ordeal began when a young man made a distressing accusation, alleging that another individual had snatched his genitals. The alarming cry for help attracted the attention of passers-by and neighbors who swiftly descended upon the accused, subjecting him to a brutal beating.
The eyewitness described the escalating situation: “We suspect that it was when he realized they might kill him that he told the mob that it was his Pastor who asked him to steal somebody’s penis and bring it to him. He was then asked to lead the mob to the Pastor’s House. When they got there, the Pastor was seized from his family and given the beating of his life.”

Both the young man and the Pastor narrowly escaped death due to the timely intervention of the police, who transported them to the ‘B Division’ Police Station. It was at the station that the truth came to light – the allegations were baseless, and no one had actually lost their genitals.
A video circulating on social media captured the Pastor appearing confused and helpless, while his alleged usher, who had been stripped naked, faced questioning by one of those who detained him.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Superintendent, SP Catherine Anene, confirmed the incident, deeming it a tragic turn of events. She explained, “Someone raised an alarm, and a group of youths who knew nothing about what happened began to torture innocent people. This is inhuman and condemnable.”
According to SP Anene, the young man’s initial alarm led to a cascade of violence. “The youth picked up the closest person and beat him up till he decided to admit and mention his Pastor as the person who sent him, with the hope that the Pastor would come and save him. The youth got the same pastor and beat him up as well.”

In the end, the police intervened to prevent further harm. The PPRO lamented the situation, stating, “It is too bad because there is no element of truth in this. Since the history of these allegations, it has never been proven, and the complainants are usually advised and told that nothing was wrong with them.”
As of now, no arrests have been made, but an ongoing investigation into the matter is underway. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the potential dangers of baseless accusations and mob violence.
