APC Publicity Secretary passed away from wounds received during the attack, according to a party official who confirmed the incident over the phone with our correspondent while speaking on the condition of anonymity.
Sylvanus Namang, the Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Plateau State, has been killed.
The man was shot and killed in Pankshin Town, within the Pankshin Local Government Area of the state.
An official of the party, who spoke on condition of anonymity, confirmed the incident to Daily Trust correspondent on the telephone, adding that the APC scribe died from injuries sustained in the attack.
The party would release a statement about the circumstances surrounding Namang’s death, he said, adding that the late leader was a trustworthy ally who was devoted to the APC’s growth at the local and state levels.

Daily Trust gathered that Namang was gunned down outside his hotel room in the area by hoodlums who opened fire at him around 7:30 am.
According to sources who spoke with Daily Trust, the deceased man was unexpectedly killed on Saturday after leaving his house to go to a burial in Pankshin.
