Paul Enenche, the senior pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Center, has broken his silence regarding the recent controversy involving a lady who testified falsely about her academic credentials during a church service.

Enenche clarified that his intention was not to embarrass the testifier, Ayim Vera, when he interrupted her testimony on Sunday. In a viral video, Vera claimed to have graduated with a “Bachelor of Law” degree from the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) on Saturday, April 13. Enenche interrupted her, stating that there’s no such degree as a BSc in Law, which cast doubt on the authenticity of her testimony.

Sylvester Edoh, the Personal Assistant to Pastor Enenche, confirmed that the church had personally reached out to Vera. Edoh stated, “No harm or hurt was ever intended by the Senior Pastor against Ms. Anyim Veronica.” He further emphasized the church’s dedication to maintaining standards of excellence and truthfulness.

The statement issued by Edoh also outlined the reasons behind Enenche’s interruption of Vera’s testimony. It cited concerns about the testifier’s expression, her unclear degree designation, and the duration of her studies as factors that prompted the interruption.

While Enenche regrets any inconvenience or embarrassment caused by the incident, the church stands firm in its commitment to upholding integrity and truthfulness.
