The Ondo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has called on Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu to step down from his position if he is unable to carry out his duties effectively.
The statement advised against further deterioration of the State’s condition and urged politicians to refrain from using the Governor’s health as a political tool.

According to the Ondo PDP, there is currently no information available regarding the whereabouts of Akeredolu’s handlers and managers.
Kennedy Peretei, who is the spokesman for the Ondo PDP, expressed concern over the lack of information regarding the Governor’s health and location, stating that it is not helpful.

The Ondo State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has demanded that those who are aware of the governor’s whereabouts should disclose it to the public to prevent further speculation and uncertainty in the state.
According to the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended), if Akeredolu is unable to carry out his official duties, it is required that he hands over to the Deputy Governor.
