Peter Obi, the Labour Party‘s (LP) presidential candidate, has refuted claims that he donated 2 billion to churches across the country.

This is in response to a petition circulated on social media platforms by one Pastor Frank Onwumere, claiming to be a senior pastor at the “Dominion Center International” in Okigwe, Imo State, challenging the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) regarding the distribution of the aforementioned fund to churches.

The fund was reportedly donated “to assist in mobilising and convincing their congregation to vote massively for Mr. Peter Obi’s candidature.”

The Labour Party’s campaign team responded on Sunday through its media office, saying that the petition was “made to hurt the well-deserved reputation of the candidate.”

The petition was called “blackmail material” by the party, and the public was told to ignore it.

The mission of the Obidient Movement on this day is to alert and warn discerning minds, particularly those who wish to see a new Nigeria emerge through Peter Obi, to disregard and discard as trash any doctored and faked items pertaining to Obi, according to the statement.

After a long and fruitless search, anything they say now is made up to hurt the candidate’s well-earned reputation, so it should be ignored.

Obi-Datti Media is pleased to assert that the LP presidential nominee and his running mate continue to be the best product on the market for the much-needed political leadership in the country at this time and to assert without fear of contradiction that they are untainted and possess the necessary qualities to save this troubled nation.
