Nigerian footballer, Ado Bala Hadi suffers seizures, dies during match in Spain
Nigerian football player Ado Bala Hadi collapsed and passed away during a game in Spain’s fourth-tier division.
On Sunday, the 20-year-old died while competing for CD Madridejos against SP Cabanillas.

The player “began to suffer seizures” in the 39th minute of the game, according to Madridejos, who confirmed the death in a statement on the club’s website. Despite receiving medical attention, the player passed away on the field.
Ado Bala Hadi, a 20-year-old football player for CD Madridejos, passed away on Sunday afternoon while participating in a match against Sporting Cabanillas at the Madridejos municipal field in Toledo, according to the statement.
The incident occurred at 5:13 p.m., according to the 112 emergency and emergency service, when the player started having seizures and 112 was alerted.
As a result, a UVI, an emergency doctor, and a life support ambulance were activated, even though the young man passed away on the field.
The Nigerian “collapsed for no apparent reason,” according to the league’s organizers, the Castilla-La Mancha football federation.
It also stated that he received medical care for 30 minutes before being declared dead.

The statement reads, “In a match that was going on normally and following the usual channels of this category, the player collapsed for no apparent reason, about minute 39 of the game.”
The player was immediately attended to by a health professional who was in the Municipal Toledo’s stands and using the facility’s defibrillator, not responding to it. After a short while, the corresponding ambulance from the Health Services arrived, and for the next 30 minutes, everyone in the ambulance tried everything they could to revive the player.
The Health Services certified the player from Madrid’s death after a respectable amount of time.
Prior to moving to Spain, Hadi played for Jigawa Golden Stars.
He shared the CD Madridejos team with Kehinde Ayinde, Chukwuebuka Okeke, and Precious Onyesom, three other Nigerian teammates.
