Senator Sunday Katung, representing Kaduna South Senatorial District, has made a heartfelt appeal to security agencies in the wake of a tragic incident in Fadan Kamantan, a community in Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State, where terrorists burnt a Catholic seminarian to death.
The assailants targeted the residence of a Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Okolo, on a fateful Thursday evening, setting the entire rectory ablaze and tragically ending the life of Na’aman Ngofe Danladi, a seminarian.

In a statement issued to the press on Friday, Senator Katung expressed deep sorrow at the tragedy, stating that evil had once again visited their peaceful community.
I appeal to the security agencies to carry out a one-month intensive operation in the forests around Southern Kaduna to degrade the bandits and kidnappers. Anybody found aiding and abetting criminality should not be spared,” he asserted.
Sen. Katung emphasized that the resurgence of terrorism on the Kaduna-Kachia Road is a direct challenge to the Federal Government and the security agencies, stressing that it is time to take a resolute stand against these criminals.

I unequivocally condemn this horrific terrorist attack that claimed the life of our young seminarian. Terrorism and violence against innocent citizens should never be justified nor become a part of our daily lives. Such a cowardly and callous attack on our communities must not be allowed to continue,” he declared.
