Addressing a press conference in Jos on Monday, the lawmakers, led by former Majority Leader Yobo Ishaku, asserted their readiness to return to their legislative responsibilities.

Despite the Court of Appeal’s decision in November, which nullified their positions, the PDP lawmakers cited the Supreme Court’s verdict upholding the election of the state Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, as a basis for their resilience.

Ishaku argued, “The Supreme Court…ruled that the case brought before the Court of Appeal was fraudulent and that the court lacked the jurisdiction to entertain the matter in the first place.

This, according to Ishaku, rendered the Court of Appeal’s verdict a nullity, and they were determined to disregard it entirely.

The embattled lawmakers emphasized that their constituents were eager to see them resume their duties, having voted for them and showing unwavering support.

Ishaku urged the public to accompany them to the legislative sitting, reinforcing their commitment to representing the interests of their various constituencies.
