Former Kaduna State Senator and a human rights activist Shehu Sani has said that if there is no vibrant opposition, tyranny would creep in and evolve into a monster.

Shehu Sani, in a post made in his verified Twitter account, stated that if there is no potent opposition, no one would be safe in the hands of the unchallenged powers.

 

 

He said:

If there is no vibrant opposition,tyranny creeps in and evolves into a monster that will eventually suffocate the country,it’s people & their democracy.If there is no potent opposition,no one is safe in the hands of the unchallengeable power,not even members of the ruling party.

 

 

In another post, the freedom fighter reacted to the political battle between Wole Soyinka and Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.

The opposition supporters are going after Prof Wole Soyinka & the ruling party supporters are going after Chimamanda Adichie;The great literary giants are now in the ring of Nigeria’s political battle.This is a positive dev. other African countries are not privileged to have.”
