An eyewitness and voter, Okey, recounted the harrowing experience, stating that the gunmen initially entered the premises appearing like regular voters. However, they swiftly revealed their true intentions, brandishing arms and creating panic as policemen fled the scene.

“We had just finished complaining about the APC agent’s low bargaining for votes when these boys walked in and demanded for the money that was about to be shared amidst heavy shooting, while everyone took to their heels,” Okey explained.
