Dino Melaye Doesn’t Have What It Takes To Be A Governor – Wike slams the former Kogi senator
The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, referred to Senator Dino Melaye’s campaign to become the Governor of Kogi State as a joke.
Governor who made this statement to reporters in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, said that Dino Melaye lacks the qualifications to be a governor.

The Rivers Governor added that the G-5 Governors have ensured Fairness, Equity, and Justice within the party.
He revealed that they were also able to demonstrate that the former national chairman of the People’s Democratic Party has nothing to offer the party.
He added that the party’s constitution stipulates that the deputy chairman from the chairman’s zone will serve as interim chairman.
He added that the grievances of the G-5 Governors were never personal, but rather concerned what the party’s leadership could offer.
He stated that the new acting national chairman of the party has an opportunity to depart from Iyorchia Ayu’s methods and ensure that the Peoples Democratic Party becomes a formidable force in Nigeria once more.
According to him, the current situation in Kogi State, in which the list of delegates is being manipulated to ensure Senator Dino Melaye’s election as candidate, does not indicate that lessons have been learned.
He characterised the former senator for Kogi West in the National Assembly as a person who lacks the qualifications to be a governor.

Further, he stated that governance is a serious matter that cannot be left in the hands of a National Television actor.
He inquired about the former senator’s plans as a candidate for governorship.
He stated that the issue of being governor has nothing to do with abusing people on national television or Wike.
He disclosed that former Kwara State governor and Senate President Bukola Saraki brought the former Kogi West senator to him and informed him of his desire to become the governor of Kogi State.
He added that if the former governor of Kwara State was observing, he would be laughing at the memory of the confrontation.
Governor Wike believes that Senator Dino Melaye lacks the character to be a governor.
