Shi’ite leader, El-Zakzaky opens up on alleged Peter Obi endorsement

, the leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), has refuted reports that he supports Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP).

El-Zakzaky dispelled rumors circulating online of him endorsing Obi as a falsehood which should be ignored.

According to the reports, the leader of the Shi’ite movement urged members of his movement to obtain their Personal Voter Cards, also known as PVCs, and vote for Obi the following month.

However, El-Zakzaky dispelled the rumors through one of his attorneys, Marshall Abubakar of the Falana & Falana Chambers. El-statement Zakzaky’s can be found here.
