AA guber candidate joins PDP in Jigawa
Hajiya Binta Umar Yahaya, the Action Alliance’s gubernatorial candidate in Jigawa State, has defected to the Peoples Democratic Party.
This was stated by the gubernatorial candidate at a PDP rally in Birnin Kudu Local Government Area.
She stated that the decision was made after extensive consultation with party supporters.

According to her, “I, Binta Umar Yahaya, the Jigawa State AA candidate for governor, have withdrawn my candidacy and joined the PDP with all of my supporters.”
“We decided to join forces with the PDP in order to save the state and the country from the current hardships caused by the APC-led government.”
Binta, however, instructed all of her supporters to vote for the PDP in the upcoming presidential and governorship elections.

Ali Diginsa, chairman of the Jigawa State PDP, assured the AA candidate and her supporters that they would be accorded the same rights as other party members upon their arrival.
He urged them to work toward the party’s victory in the forthcoming national elections.
