Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State has made a fervent appeal to the residents of the state, urging them to maintain peace during what he described as a challenging period for the region.

Speaking at the funeral service of late King Theophilus J.T. Princewill, Amachree XI, the Amanyanabo and Natural Ruler of the Kalabari Kingdom, held at the King Amachree Square in Buguma Town, Asari Toru Local Government Area, Governor Fubara emphasized the paramount importance of a peaceful environment for the state’s development.

Against the backdrop of political tension arising from a reported rift between Governor Fubara and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, the governor emphasized the necessity of fostering a peaceful atmosphere.
