Bandit Attack Claims many Lives in Kaduna’s Takanai Community.

 

Tragedy struck the peaceful community of Takanai in Atyap Chiefdom, located within the Zango Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State, as a bandit attack left six individuals feared dead.

Although the Kaduna State Police Command’s spokesperson was unavailable for immediate confirmation, the Acting Secretary to the District Head of the affected community, Samson Markus, verified the incident to reporters.

According to Markus, the harrowing attack occurred on Tuesday night when the descended upon the community, unleashing gunfire that claimed the lives of six people, including two children. The unsuspecting residents initially mistook the gunshots for military activity, but by the time the military arrived, the assailants had already inflicted tragic losses upon the community.

Markus expressed deep sadness over the incident and highlighted the continued occurrence of such tragic events in villages, even when it was believed that peace had been restored. He made an earnest appeal to both the government and the military, urging them to intensify their efforts in combating the terrorists responsible for these invasions that result in the loss of innocent lives.
