Barca has exited the group stage of the Champions League for the second straight year.
Barcelona must participate in a playoff round to actually advance to the round of 16 since they have been demoted to the Europa League due to their Champions League exit.
They will play one of the teams that placed second in the Europa League group stage in that two-game matchup.

The dates of those two games are February 16 and February 23, 2023.
The draw will take place before the World Cup on November 7 begins.
