Anthony Eze, Unizik Lecturer Gunned Down In Anambra
Anthony Eze, a lecturer at Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka in the state of Anambra, was shot and killed.
Early on Tuesday, gunmen broke into Eze’s house and started shooting at him as he took his kids to school.

Sources say that the Lecturer who died tried to run away, but was chased and shot dead.
A person in the neighborhood said that the gunmen came in a Toyota Corolla sedan.
“We were here this morning when Dr. Eze was driving out of his house. Suddenly, a Toyota Corolla salon car pulled up to the entrance of his house. When he tried to drive back, they followed him and shot him in the chest. We ran away.

The witness said, “We rushed him to the General Hospital in Amaku, where the doctor confirmed that he was dead.”
DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, who is in charge of public relations for the state’s police, said that the command had not heard about the event.
