According to information gathered by this online newspaper, the visit takes place shortly after the national working committee of the PDP disbanded the state working committee for the Ekiti state chapter.

Additionally, the party suspended Joju Fayose, who is running for a seat in the House of Representatives, along with a number of other candidates.

“I’m not leaving at all”

However, Fayose has disproved the idea that he would join the opposition. He claimed that visiting him during election season was common practice for politicians seeking his support.

“Anyone looking for votes will visit anyone,” he said. They have the right to do so. Additionally, the vice presidential candidate of the APC visiting the opposition demonstrates humility.

“The visit demonstrates the level of respect and importance that are given to me, and I make no apologies for that. If anyone wants to come see me, I’m available.
