Recently, applicants of the Presidential Conditional Grant Scheme (PCGS) have begun receiving invitations for the data capturing exercise. This process mandates the submission of both the Bank Verification Number (BVN) and National Identification Number (NIN) of applicants for the grant.

The PCGS management emphasizes that the NIN is a crucial requirement for participation in the Federal Government Grants Scheme.

Applicants who have already completed the application form are urged to ensure the updating of their NIN by utilizing the link provided above, as applications for grants are presently closed.

Under this initiative, the Federal Government is set to provide a grant of N50,000.00 (Fifty Thousand Naira) per eligible beneficiary. The scheme aims to reach one million nano businesses across the 774 local government areas in Nigeria.

Target beneficiaries include 70% women and youth, 10% people with disabilities, and 5% senior citizens. The remaining 15% will be allocated to other demographics.

The Federal Government is working in collaboration with State Governments, Honourable Ministers, the Nigerian Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (NASME), Senators, and Members of the House of Representatives. These entities will utilize the Federal Government’s selection criteria to shortlist beneficiaries from their respective constituencies.

Selection Criteria for PCGS Beneficiaries:

1. Owned a nano business.

2. Operated a business with progressive economic potential and a desire to grow.

3. Were willing to engage at least one additional staff member

4. Were willing to provide proof of residential/business address in the Local Government Area.
