Mr Ibu, Popular Nollywood actor is dead, Cause of Death Emerges

Mr Ibu, a Nollywood veteran has died. The actor whose real name is John Okarfor was 62.

According to multiple reports from sources close to him, the veteran comedian passed away at Evercare Hospital.

Mr Ibu, 62, died of cardiac arrest after he had a relapse about a week ago and was rushed to the Lagos-based hospital.

The actor had been battling health issues since October 2023 and had undergone multiple surgeries that led to the amputation of his leg. However, updates from his family in November indicated he was recovering.
